Upman Mahila Sansthan

The area in which Upman Mahila Sansthan works - Bundelkhand - is one of the most backward and challenging areas of Uttar Pradesh. Bundelkhand region cuts across the Uttar Pradesh boundary and extends to adjoining state of Madhya Pradesh. In Uttar Pradesh Bundelkhand region has seven districts, while in Madhya Pradesh it has got six districts.

Upman is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It is also registered under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 1975 and relevant sections of income Tax Act, 1960.

Target

To establish equitable society through empowerment of the poorest people.

Objectives

To work for each aspect of social development such as education, health, improved agriculture, income generation, panchayati raj, legal literacy, leadership, gender, cleanliness, and conservation of water, soil and environment.
